DUNDEE EVENT COMING UP: Helping the UK Fleet sector become net-zero

25 July, 2024 | Dundee Electric

Are you a fleet or transport manager? Does your organisation aspire to become net-zero? Are you looking to make meaningful connections with other fleet industry individuals?

GREENFLEET Scotland returns for the 16th consecutive year! Since 2009, GREENFLEET has helped navigate UK fleets on their journeys to net-zero.

With the national climate change plans, it is likely that the uptake of electric vehicles within fleets will continue growing. Fleets are even further encouraged to switch to electric by Scotland’s advanced EV charging network, which is said to be the most established in the UK.

Dundee has been continuously expanding its charging infrastructure, both for the public and depot sectors. The council has invested in an electric fleet of vehicles which includes cars, small and medium-sized vans and refuse collection vehicles, and currently, 30% of the whole fleet is fully electric, making the air cleaner every day.

Drive Dundee Electric and GREENFLEET would like to invite you to the Dundee Mission Zero Roadshow, where you’ll have an opportunity to attend a conference featuring keynote speakers from various organisations such as Transport Scotland, Energy Saving Trust, Logistics UK, National Grid, Zemo Partnership and BVRLA. The presentations will cover a wide range of topics including multi-modal decarbonisation and key legislation for the decarbonisation of road transport.

The event taking place on the 20th of August at the Apex hotel in Dundee is a chance for Scottish businesses and local authorities to engage with the programme, learn about solutions to overcome climate challenges and network with fleet professionals.

Refreshments and buffet lunch will be available to attendees.
